in-school ALTERNATIVE PROVISIONS

Learner Lead Education

For some pupils, a formal academic curriculum either isn’t appropriate or just doesn’t work. This can be for various reasons and usually results in disruptive behaviour and or constant supervision. Here at Lincolnshire Educational Support we offer a Learner Lead Education based on the needs and requirements of the individual disaffected pupil.

School’s and Academies are coming under more and more pressure to accommodate these students and not to exclude them. Here at Lincolnshire Educational Support we understand the pressure this puts on the classroom and have been working with schools to offer in-school alternative provisions. These work alongside our offsite school provisions to help re-engage disaffected pupils.

We currently run two provisions a sports-based provision and educate through media (lincolnTALKS) both are available either in-school or offsite.  The in-school provisions are offered in groups of 6 pupils in a 3-1 ratio and are learner lead to encourage the students back into mainstream education
